The Component Checker can:
Determine the version of MDAC installed
Generate various MDAC-related reports
Reconfigure the versions of MDAC that are installed (only on certain operating systems)
On Microsoft Windows NT and Windows 98 operating systems, the Component Checker tool can be used to either install a later version of MDAC, or roll back to an earlier version. This is done using the 'Reconfigure' utility that becomes available by running
comcheck.exe /d
This utility is not available on operating systems that are 'system file protected'.
