Active Directory is the directory database for the servers in the domains of your Exchange 2000 organisation. The Active Directory database is stored on the domain controllers in your organisation. Active Directory stores nearly all of your Exchange 2000 configuration data. Active Directory also maintains your list of user and group accounts.
