Intrusion detection is a very popular feature of ISA. Its integrated intrusion detection mechanisms can alert you when a specific attack is launched against your network. What you have to do is right-click IP Packet Filters under Access Policy. Access policy is where you start working on ISA after you first install it. Right-click on it, go to Properties, and you will see the Intrusion Detection tab.
There are four tabs. They are

General,
Packet Filters,
Intrusion Detection, and
PPTP.

With regard to the PPTP tab, basically, after you turn it on, you are allowing internal clients to PPTP outside.

ISA doesn't interoperate with other Intrusion Detection Systems.
