Sage maintains records about what customers have bought what. This can be used as marketing raw data.
Products that have a particular marketing focus (special deals) can be marketed to those who tend to buy them - maybe these customers buy quite a lot of the product but from different vendors - or only buy a few - but would like to buy more - or never buy, at least from your business.
The issue behind this data is, as a supplier, do you understand your customer's business? If not, this kind of information is an opportunity to get closer and build a CRM relationship with your customers.
